The smile was beautiful, but not perfect.

Her teeth had gaps and were far too crooked, you see.

Yet when I saw her, I couldn’t help, but let my heart beat.

Her imperfectness was too perfect for me.

Loads were done to mess everything up.

The constant morning texts. My needy self all the while.

I wanted her, though she was completely done.

But all I wanted, was that awkward summer smile.

I counted the days since I met her.

Like a fool, I was waiting for another chance at bliss.

If only I knew, I was just wasting time.

As I waited for her, and another kiss.
